Today in the Cliffwood is Duke Ellington’s Greatest Hits, a gift from Autumn last Christmas, I believe. A bit of crackle-and-pop, but not too bad. I have just been through this and all my other used records with the cleaning kit.
I like this record. And the thing is, I would probably not choose to play it on Tidal — nor, if I did, would I be likely to get all the way through it. But on vinyl it is just part of the texture. Each LP is going to be its own microcosm.
